Summer Trip
June 2024
Orange Class had an amazing day at Whistlestop Valley on our end of year trip. The children all made us very proud and were fantastic. We have bounced on the jumping pillows, played on the lovely park, enjoyed a picnic lunch and play before ending the day on a trip on a steam train. All the children loved their train ride and watched through the windows, listened to the whistle and we even got to watch as the train turned round to make its journey back to the station
Wonderful Water

Orange Class have had a busy start to the half term. We have revisited our work on animals as we start to learn more about the water around us in our new Topic ‘Wonderful Water’. The children have all explored different animals that live in the water a matched photos, symbols and sounds through switches. We have also been developing our mark making and early writing skills in Write Dance.
Spring Term

What a lovely February Orange class have had. We have had fun celebrating Chinese New year, we especially enjoyed making sun catcher lanterns. Since coming back after half term we have started to look at doing some self-portraits in art. We have also been mark making over our names and enjoyed practising our number skills with the big numicon.
Our learning in Orange class
November 2023
In Orange, we have been doing some fantastic learning and have enjoyed finding out about things that we like. We have worked hard to engage in circle time sessions and work together with our friends. We have been exploring all the different areas of school, including the courtyard and the light room. In maths we have loved learning about shapes and using glitter to make our own shapes. We love our music sessions and really like playing our own instruments.
We also made some poppies for Remembrance day.
Busy Busy Orange Class
October 2023
In Orange we have been doing some great learning. We have been to Heaton Park and enjoyed exploring the play equipment and sharing a play space with others. In our English sessions we have been looking at the story of ‘The three little pigs’ and enjoyed exploring and engaging with sensory props. We each had a turn touching the houses that were made out of different materials. The class also loved finding pictures of animals in our sensory rice tray.
